Such love. I feel… such love.

I think I may be about to cry.

This is one of the absolute most incredible lines, but what makes it is Matt Smith’s delivery. There is calm rage there, anger beyond comprehension. The darkness hiding in the Doctor’s broken heart. It’s why, no matter how the series is being written, Matt Smith will always have my respect because he knows.

Sometimes I can’t tell if The Doctor is a Holmes or a Moriarty.

The split in 1993 was during the filming of Ed Wood and there were days he would come crying, I felt so bad. I asked him why it happened but all he said was, ‘It wasn’t her fault, it was mine.’ And when he met Kate in January of 94, it wasn’t the same as Winona. I felt weird to be around him like he wasn’t acting like Johnny anymore. It’s almost like Winona took Johnny’s soul, Johnny’s love.

Am I seeing things, or does this fellow — whom I encountered in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam — look a lot like our dearly beloved Benedict?

(Credit where credit is due: my friend noticed the similarity, and she isn’t even a Sherlockian.)
